MY STORY

Duncan DC Dunkins I
Owner - Nathan Consultants
& Online Franchising

A few people suggested that I do not use this picture because I look angry. But I really like this picture. The truth is, I'm actually a pretty laid back and happy person, this just happens to be the default expression of my face.

If you have worked in Customer Service, you will know that it has the potential to be very stressful and can take a toll over time even on the strongest of people. In our society, etiquette has taken a back seat in many areas. It's not difficult to find people who will take advantage of situations where employees are not allowed to defend themselves or fight back when abused - especially when it's a phone conversation. I decided to have my own business because it allows me to choose who I do business with.

Another reality in our times is entitlement mentality. In addition to having my own online store, I'm a business consultant who can provide connections and resources to help people learn how to fish instead of just giving them a fish and with some consistent work, they can make their goals a reality. Small goals are just as important as big ones. Everyone has different needs and I am happy to meet them where they are.

I am also passionate about the direction of the world that we live in. 2020 opened our eyes to a lot of things. In my opinion, one of the reasons a lot of this happened is because of well meaning people of faith who have spread the idea for several decades that it is bad to have a lot of money or be wealthy. I understand where this thought is coming from, but common sense would tell us that if the righteous and good people of faith do not have control of the wealth in the world then it automatically goes to the other side.

Like it or not, money and wealth carries the power of influence. It’s been said that - The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

It is not my intention to endorse or condemn any faith, but to challenge mindsets when it comes to making money and encourage people to not only be financially independent, but then look beyond themselves and their family and see what positive impacts can be made in the world. In many cases, it takes only a committed few to turn things around.
